One colour tells you whether you need to look
The live view shows one card per running event, in exactly one colour. If it is not green, the reason is right underneath — which booth, which printer, how long since the last photo.
Live
One card per event
The event booths, photo silence and printer state boiled down to a single colour. Not green means: the reason is right here.
Alerts
Push when something drops out
A booth goes offline, paper runs low, a print fails — your phone tells you. And tells you again once it has sorted itself out.
Booths
The state of every single booth
Last contact, current event, printer, remaining media, installed version. Plus a timeline of the latest messages.
Kiosk
What is on the screen right now
A snapshot of the booth display, at most 90 seconds old. Answers "is it stuck or just waiting?" without calling the customer.
Remote
The booth computer in the app
Operated remotely from your phone, over a one-time address valid for 120 seconds. No vendor link, no second tool.
Events
Numbers and gallery
Captures by kind — photos, layouts, GIFs, videos — the last upload, and the gallery link to pass on to your customer.
And you change the essentials straight from your phone
Not everything, but what actually comes up on the night:
- Pair a booth with the camera. Scan the QR code on the booth screen, see the code, confirm with one tap.
- Share the gallery link. Straight to the customer through the share sheet, from inside the event.
- Send commands to the booth. Pull the configuration, request logs, trigger an update. The app never reports "done" — it reports the honest pickup forecast, because the booth collects the command with its next heartbeat.
- Edit an event. Title, customer, date, internal name.
- Gallery and retention. Release, protection, PIN, retention period, guest uploads. The confirmation spells out every change in plain words — "retention: 90 → 60 days" — before it takes effect.
- Rename a booth. The display name only; the identifier stays, so nothing loses its pairing.
What the app deliberately cannot do
Deleting stays in the Hub. A button that deletes an event at a wedding through one mistyped tap is not convenience — it is an operational risk. Templates, subscription, accounts and security settings stay there too, where you sit down in front of them in peace.
The app is not a second Hub and does not want to become one. It answers one question, and it answers it fast.
Free as soon as you have a booth
The Companion belongs to BoothDock and costs nothing extra. Sign in with a pairing code from the Hub, and that is it. The app speaks the same 24 languages as the Hub.
